Check-In / Check-Out Policies

To preserve the heritage charm and finishings of Maple Beach House, we kindly ask all guests to remove their shoes inside the home.

Property & Cancellation Policies

  • Guests must be at least 19 years of age to book.

  • A valid photo ID may be requested upon check-in.

  • Reservations must include the full names of all adult guests and a valid credit card to secure the booking.

  • Room rates are subject to change and applicable taxes and fees.

  • Only registered guests are permitted on the property overnight.

  • We reserve the right to cancel non-refundable bookings if unregistered guests are found staying overnight.

Reservation Guarantee:
Your booking is held until the check-in date. If you do not arrive on time, the room may be reassigned. Full payment is required to confirm your booking and will be processed using the provided credit card. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. All cancellations will be confirmed via email.

Check-In Process

  • You may check in any time after 3:00 PM PST.

  • Maple Beach House offers self-check-in via smart lock; your access code will be sent to you before arrival.

  • Check-in cannot be completed until full payment has been received and approved.

  • Location: The main entrance is off West 12th Avenue.

Check-Out Process

  • Guests must check out by 11:00 AM PST.

  • Late check-out requests may be accommodated based on availability.

  • Please enter your assigned check-out code at the smart lock upon departure.

  • A post-checkout inspection will be conducted. Guests may be charged for damages or missing items.

  • Bed linens and towels are provided for your stay and must remain on the property.

Payment & Cancellation

  • ​Reservations must be prepaid using Visa or MasterCard.

  • Full charges (room rate + taxes) are processed upon check-in.

 

Cancellation Policy (Strictly Enforced):

  • Cancel more than 7 days before arrival: Full refund of deposit

  • Cancel 3–7 days before arrival: 50% refund of deposit

  • Cancel less than 3 days before arrival: No refund

  • Early departure or no-shows: No refund

 

All cancellations must be made via email and include your reservation number. A confirmation email will be sent upon cancellation.

Non-Smoking & Damage Policy

  • ​Maple Beach House is a strictly non-smoking property (including vapes and e-cigarettes).

  • A $500 cleaning fee will be charged if smoking is detected indoors.

  • Smoking is not permitted outdoors on the property.

 

Your reservation may be immediately terminated if:

  • Excessive noise is made between 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM

  • The room is sub-let or transferred to others without approval

 

Additional guests must be approved in advance and will incur a per-night fee.

Additional Policies

  • Pets are not allowed.

  • Quiet hours are enforced between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM.

  • Guests are responsible for respecting the property and neighbours.

  • Maple Beach House is not responsible for lost or forgotten belongings.

Guests are financially responsible for any damage to the property or its furnishings.
Please report any damage or breakages immediately. A final inspection will be done after check-out.
Charges for damages beyond normal wear and tear will be billed to your card, with an itemized invoice sent by email.
